Focus Tables

Schulte table online

The classic attention test right in your browser - no sign-up, nothing to install. Pick a size, hit Start and find the numbers in order, as fast as you can. After the 5×5 test you can compare your time against adult norms.

Find-Time 0.0 sErrors 0

Find the numbers 1 to 25 in order. Keep your gaze at the center and search with your peripheral vision.

How to play

  1. 1

Sit comfortably with the screen at eye level. Start with the classic 5×5 table.

  2. 2

Hit Start - the clock runs at once and the numbers appear in a random layout.

  3. 3

Keep your gaze at the center of the board and find each next number with your peripheral vision, without scanning row by row. Click them in order.

  4. 4

A mistake does not stop the test, it just counts as an error. The test ends when you click the last number.

  5. 5

Do 3-5 rounds in a row and look at the median, not a single best time.

Norms for the 5×5 table

Adult ranges for first attempts with a random table. After a few days of practice your time is no longer comparable with norms for untrained people - from then on, compare yourself with last week.

Gorbov table online

The red-black version of the Schulte table: you point to 25 black numbers in ascending order and 24 red ones in descending order, alternating. It measures attention switching - which is why it was used to test train drivers and operators. It is clearly harder than the classic table, so do not compare the two times.

Frequently asked questions

Is the online Schulte table free?
Yes. It runs in the browser on a computer, tablet or phone, with no sign-up. Your results are not sent anywhere - they stay on your screen.
How long should a 5×5 table take?
The average adult needs about 40 seconds. Under 25 seconds is advanced, under 15 is expert. The norms apply to first attempts; after practice, compare yourself with your own earlier results.
Can I compare an online result with a paper one?
Only roughly. On screen you add the time it takes to click, and the board size depends on the device. Compare results from the same device and similar conditions.
Which size should I start with?
Adults - the classic 5×5. Children aged 5-7 - 3×3 or 4×4. The 6×6 and 7×7 boards are for people who consistently finish a 5×5 in under 25 seconds.
How often should I practise?
A few minutes a day is enough: 3-5 tables, a short break, done. Regularity beats long sessions once a week.
